The landscape is dominated by the Alentejo plains, each season giving it its own palette of colours, where the view is lost and serenity invades us.
The Alqueva dam changed the landscape, creating the large lake and creating new spaces and leisure activities.
It is the small Alentejo villages, whose beauty compels us to visit, that draw us to this inland district, separated only by the Guadiana River from the neighbouring country.
