Viseu
The district of Viseu is a mountainous region where the Caramulo, Montemuro, Lapa, Leomil and Gralheira mountains, framing the Douro, Dão and Mondego rivers or their tributaries, define the landscape.
In its cities and towns we find cultural and architectural heritage that takes us back to prehistoric times.
To the north, the Douro wine region and to the south, the Dão wine region define its wine-growing character with manors, farms and sacred sites dotting the landscape.
