The beach is an extensive and quiet area of land, offering bathers the chance to swim in safe, warm waters.

There is a tarmac road from the EN 125, heading in the direction of Praia do Cabeço for roughly two kilometres. There is a fairly large and organised parking area near the beach, which has various support facilities (restaurants and toilets) and is supervised during the bathing season.

Classified as an accessible beach.
