Here, the landscape is overwhelming and only after returning to the body the breath held by the amazement of the surroundings, do we realize the large funerary monument, as well as the existence of another that is smaller.

The two funerary monuments present in Lameira de Cima form a megalithic necropolis that constitutes one of the most important sacro-funeral spaces in Penedo's territory.

The largest monument, called dolmen 1 of Lameira de Cima, has an enlarged polygonal chamber, with a medium-sized corridor and there are still mound lands.
The excavation work revealed that its use took place between the end of the 4th/3rd millennium BC, as well as very important data on offerings and rituals, such as the sealing of the tomb when it was no longer in use. The artefacts discovered, related to the offerings, are now on display at the Espaço Identidade e Memória and are of great wealth and variety, among which the axes, arrowheads, necklace beads, adzes and ceramics stand out.
