It is one of the emblematic projects of the county of Vila Nova de Paiva and, certainly, one of the most important and significant among those developed in the last decades.

The park, where more than a thousand different botanic species are gathered, arranged by families, ethnobotanical and industrial uses, medicinal properties and aromatic characteristics, is installed on the grounds of the former Queiriga Forest Nursery. A space where they can be admired from small bryophytes to gigantic Sequoia sempervirens, in a remarkable aesthetic and environmental harmony. The presence of a water line with native plants, a meadow of natural alluvium and a lake where the animal species riparian associate, assure some of the poles of interest of the park.

The visitor also finds some support structures, from an audiovisual interpretation room, to a small playground, a picnic area, fishing pier and an astronomical park.
